A Specialized Educational Program in New Hampshire

Birch Academy is approved by the New Hampshire Department of Education to serve students with the following primary educational disabilities:

  • Autism

  • Developmental Delay

  • Other Health Impairment (OHI)

  • Intellectual Disability (ID)

  • Speech and Language Impairment (SLI)

Our program provides both 10-month school year instruction and a 25-day Extended School Year (ESY) program.

Our multidisciplinary team supports students across a variety of learning and developmental needs, including autism, intellectual disabilities, speech and language challenges, and other health impairments.

This team-based approach allows us to deliver a highly individualized, evidence-based program that helps students thrive across settings.

Oversee the development and implementation of behavior support plans, data-driven interventions, and staff training.

Special Educator

Deliver tailored academic instruction that promotes skill acquisition and classroom success. 

Occupational Therapist

Addresses fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills to support functional independence.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Supports receptive, expressive, and pragmatic language development through individualized and group services. 

Music Therapy

Enhances communication, emotional regulation, and engagement through creative, therapeutic experiences.
