If you are a parent exploring placement at Birch Academy and are interested in financial support through your local school district, we’re happy to walk you through the out-of-district placement process. You may also choose to contact your district directly for more information.
Please note: Visiting Birch Academy or initiating the enrollment process does not obligate your home school district to cover tuition or placement costs.

Enrollment Process at Birch Academy
Submit an Inquiry
Start by sending your information using our Contact Form or emailing us directly at birchacademy@appliedabc.com.
Parent & School District Collaboration
The student’s family and home school district connect to discuss the potential for out-of-district placement.
Admissions Outreach
Our Birch Academy admissions team will reach out with next steps and assist in gathering the required documentation.
Schedule a Tour & Student Observation
We’ll invite you to visit Birch Academy with your child to learn more about our program and meet our team. During this time we will also visit your student in their current school environment.
Await Admissions Decision
Once all documents are received, our admissions team will complete the review and notify you of the outcome.
Required Documentation
To complete the referral and review process, please provide:
✅ A copy of the student’s most recent IEP
✅ The latest 3-year evaluations (e.g., psychoeducational, speech, OT)
✅ A current Behavior Support Plan, if applicable
✅ Any relevant medical documentation related to the student’s healthcare needs
