ABout Birch academy
Birch Academy is a 10-month specialized school, approved by the New Hampshire Department of Education, serving students in grades K-6. Our program is designed to support children whose primary special education needs are related to autism or developmental delays. We focus on helping students build a strong academic foundation, utilizing their personal strengths, and developing independence through functional communication and adaptive skills.

Together, this team, alongside educational consultants, crafts individualized programs to address each student's unique needs. Our goal is to enhance academic growth, develop resilience to learning barriers, and generalize skills across various environments.
Our Referral Process
Looking to join Birch Academy in Manchester, NH?
Parents/guardians interested in exploring educational placement at Birch Academy are encouraged to collaborate with their child’s school district. The referral process begins with the submission of the following documents:
Completed Birch Intake Form, signed by the child’s legal guardian or parent and school district representative
Copy of the most current Individualized Education Program (IEP)
Copy of the most recent 3-year evaluations
Copy of the student’s Behavior Support Plan (if applicable)
Relevant medical documentation pertaining to the student’s healthcare needs (if applicable)
